NSAC Executive Director Heidi Sanborn's testimony in support of SB 501 (Allen) CA's HHW Producer Responsibility Act at the Senate Environmental Quality Committee hearing 4/2/2025

Will require manufacturers of emergency distress flares to fund and operate a convenient collection system to manage expired or unwanted flares, shifting the costs of managing this product from our cities and counties – and ultimately local ratepayers – to the manufacturers/users.

SB 501 Senator Ben Allen Household Hazardous Waste Producer Responsibility Act 2025.png
